About the Tournament:

The CYGN Fortnite tournament is a future event currently in the planning stages. While no official date has been announced yet, the tournament aims to deliver high-energy battle royale competition featuring the best players in Cyprus. The format, match structure, and ruleset are still under discussion, with more details—including qualification criteria and potential LAN finals—to be revealed soon.

What is Fortnite?

Fortnite is a fast-paced battle royale game where up to 100 players drop onto an island and fight to be the last one standing. Players must gather resources, build structures, and use a wide variety of weapons and items to outplay opponents and survive the storm.

The Main Objective

Whether playing solo, in duos, or as a squad, the goal is simple: eliminate other players and stay alive until you’re the last remaining. The storm continually shrinks the playable area, forcing players into intense encounters as the match progresses.

Resources and Building

Unlike most battle royale games, Fortnite includes a unique building system. Players can gather materials (wood, brick, metal) to construct walls, ramps, and structures in real time—adding a creative layer of defense, mobility, and strategy to combat.

Playstyles and Roles

While Fortnite doesn't enforce fixed roles, high-level team play often includes:

• Fragger: Focused on getting eliminations and aggressive pushes.
• Support: Manages heals, shield items, and provides backup fire or cover builds.
• Builder: Maintains structure control and creates protective environments in fights.
• IGL (In-Game Leader): Calls rotations, makes late-game decisions, and manages team strategy.
